The Department of Environment and Science (DES) have advised that the next steps are:
- CABN to submit proposals to DES, Noosa Shire Council and Gympie Regional Council.
- Should local governments issue a Development Approval, the Chief Executive of DES will make a decision on whether to grant approval under the Nature Conservation Act.
We have requested approximate timelines on these and some related questions and are waiting as previously updated on a response from the Department of Resources.
Local Government Development Approval processes generally have opportunity for public feedback, however please contact Noosa Council via mail@noosa.qld.gov.au or Gympie Council via council@gympie.qld.gov.au to ask any specific questions relating to their processes.
