As mentioned in our June 2023 Noosa 360 update, Sandy was able to get Factory St, Pomona pedestrian crossing project back on track after a lack of progress between the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and the previous Noosa Council. Following these efforts by Sandy, a design was able to be produced in readiness for funding.
Labor and LNP have both now committed to providing the close to $1 million needed to complete this project in full. This is a great outcome, and Sandy will hold both parties to account regardless of who forms Government to their promise. Politics should never be put ahead of public safety.

TMR managed roads in the Pomona township area are: Reserve St, Factory St & Hill St. Other roads in Pomona township area such as Station St and Summit Rd, are managed by Noosa Council.
