What’s the chance of getting enough money to finish the Beckmans road roundabout this year? Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to use the $ 2.8M to finish the one job?
Hi Wayne,
To get funded and started, the preworks need to be done, and the $2.8m committed to do this would not do the roundabout, nor the bridge. The estimate for Beckmans Road and Six Mile at the moment is $30 million, with Beckmans Road to be staged. In the 2020 State Budget the announcement we are after is for Stage 1 construction, with subsequent years stages 2 and 3, and for Six Mile to be listed on QTRIP so we have a construction start date. Sandy will be updating everyone via FB and here as we continue this journey.
Hi Sandy, I would just like to tell you about my fears of living in Lake Entrance Blvd. There is only one way in and out of this huge area with many, many family homes as well as elderly habitants. We have trouble getting in and out of the street especially during busy periods. It’s near impossible, what to do in an emergency seeing as we are in a forest estate with huge monstrous trees. How do we get out asspecially ne along with other elder and disabled constituents. I have been a rate paper to Noosa council for over twenty five years. Nothing much has been done this neck of the woods not even after we flooded.
