Due to COVID-19 and the local government elections, the group have not met nor progressed any draft recommendations since their last meeting at the end of 2019. I have discussed with Mayor Clare the future of this group and the revisiting of works and recommendations that had resulted from, and update from there.
With the recent news articles about the young people leaving their rubbish and gazebos around, I am particularly annoyed as to why there should be price hikes so those that do the right thing get penalised ! Please explain that logic.. I also enjoy my beach camping yearly, and every time i visit i clean up other peoples rubbish, indeed i still have glass in my heal from since last June.! A third Dr’s visit is scheduled.
The amount National Parks charges are more than enough now. Why don’t you number the camps with wooden posts so when the ranger visits to check permits, you can then identify the ‘rubbish culprits’, or a similar process. Ban the bloody beer bottles for a start. I only ever take cans. Wine bottles excluded from ban list.
I’m sick of these scum bags too, but it’s gross negligence to charge the good people extra $$ cause you won’t / can’t manage the grubs who spoil it for all ! Where’s all the revenue going now ? not on beach toilet facilities is it..?
