Following on from our submission to the Minister and the LDMG after our fires during the 2019/20, State Government departments have commenced operational reviews, as well made a submission to the Federal Royal Commission into National Disaster Arrangements. Our Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) will be commencing their review on the Peregian and Cooroibah fires in the coming weeks now the COVID emergency is well into recovery. Noosa Council and QFES are working together on a range of measures in bushfire mitigation and management for the upcoming season, including access to the most up to date information in the event of a fire. A reminder for anyone impacted by our fires pre-COVID, that the Community Recovery team will be wrapping up in a few weeks, and Red Cross have extended assistance and funding.
