The Department of Transport and Main Roads have advised that there will be upcoming maintenance works on Six Mile Bridge #7 scheduled to begin in mid-July 2021 and take place over 3 weeks, weather and construction scheduling permitting. Please be assured that these are routine maintenance works and are not related to the Six Mile Creek Bridge replacement project. The maintenance works will help ensure the bridge remains in a safe and trafficable condition while design work for the replacement project is finalised.
With regard to the replacement project, the design process is expected to be completed in late 2021 with geotechnical investigations to inform the design work planned to be undertaken from the week commencing 22 July 2021.
