Following advocacy to the Minister for Transport and Main Roads, we have been advised that the next review of the South East Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan is anticipated to commence later this year, this will include collaboration with Noosa Shire Council.
In addition, we were notified that the link between Peregian Breeze/Springs to Peregian Village is currently being investigated by Noosa Council, Sunshine Coast Council and representatives from the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Specifically, they are investigating several pathway options along Emu Mountain Road to provide an off-road active transport connection.
With regard to the Pomona to Cooran link, with the route a combination of local government roads and land in private ownership, we will continue to liaise with Noosa Council as they are the lead in the prioritisation, planning and the development of the cycling facilities along the route.
