𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 🚣♀️ Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) has advised that Stage 5 will commence from 31 May implementing new anchoring restrictions, per the map below, that will prohibit all vessels over 5 metres from anchoring within 30 metres: ![]()
👉of the northern shore - from the Noosa Coastal Bar to Lake Cooroibah, including around Goat Island. ![]()
👉of the southern shore - from Lake Doonella to Lake Cooroibah, including Makepeace and Sheep Islands. ![]()

The existing exemption previously achieved remains in place for vessels between 5m and 7.5m to anchor safely and responsibly near the shore for up to 2 hours per day to access shops and essential services. We will continue working with MSQ and communicating community feedback.![]()

𝐄-𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑! 🚲 My request to the new government was simple – MORE MUST BE DONE! 🤛 The ongoing trauma in communities from dangerously ridden e-bikes/scooters and illegal e-motorbikes cannot just be relegated to a policing issue or the ‘too hard or expensive’ basket 😤 Licensing, registration, confiscations and ability to insure must be investigated amongst efforts to reduce hospitalisations and save lives on our roads and pathways. 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓 👨⚕️ QLD Health have advised that there has been a confirmed case of measles in an adult on Brisbane’s northside who recently arrived from overseas. The case was unknowingly infectious as they travelled around Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast between 2 April and 5 April visiting several places. The Sunshine Coast locations are below, however please note these places do not pose an ongoing risk. ![]()

Metro North Public Health Unit has issued a Measles Alert following a confirmed case of the highly infectious disease in an adult on Brisbane’s northside who recently arrived from overseas.
