Our early Christmas present has arrived! Preconstruction works are confirmed to commence by mid-2020 on the Cooroy-Noosa/Beckman’s Rd intersection (Stage 1 of the Tewantin Bypass), and Six Mile Bridge #7. The total cost to deliver both projects is expected to be around $30 million, and I look forward to further funding news during Budget 2020/21 to finish the job. It has been a long journey, and I thank both Min Mark Bailey and the TMR team, as well our community who have advocated alongside us. It will be really exciting to finally see that first shovel in the ground!
Hi Sandy, I am a bit confused as to what exactly is planned for Beckmans road and how it will help improve the traffic conditions? Is there to be a round about at the junction of Beckmans and Cooroy-Noosa Rd?
Hi Victoria,
The plans are currently in stage 1 design phase. As soon as we have more information we will update here on Noosa 360.
Many Thanks,
