 Jackie Andrews from Waves of Kindness

Jackie is an exceptional volunteer whose friendly nature & genuine warmth make a lasting impression on everyone she meets.  Never too busy to help, Jackie goes above & beyond to ensure customers feel welcomed. She always demonstrates a strong commitment to the organisation & its community, embodying the true spirit of volunteering. Jackie is someone who lifts those around her and is truly valued & highly deserving of recognition for her outstanding contribution for the last four years.

 

Liam Anlezark from Noosa Pirates Rugby League Club

Liam has been instrumental in connecting the Noosa Pirates with the Connect Rugby League program through the Lavender Sky Foundation. He has supported charity and exhibition matches, school programs, NRL Dolphins partnerships, and community events that promote inclusion and belonging. Liam has welcomed and empowered young adults with disabilities within the club, creating purpose and connection, while always stepping up to support others and strengthen the wider community.

 

Karen Bailey from NoosaCare Carramar

Since joining NoosaCare Carramar as a volunteer in 2016, Karen has become a cherished part of their community. Whether helping at BBQs or joining themed dress up days, she brings joy, humour, and genuine connection. Karen makes people feel seen, remembering residents’ stories and honouring their individuality. Her kindness touches residents, staff, and families in lasting ways.

 

Andrea Baker from Noosa Heads SLSC

Andrea has volunteered with the club for 10 years and has made a significant contribution across Junior Activities and lifesaving operations. She served as Junior Activities Chair for 2 years and Age Manager Coordinator for 2 years, supporting the development of the Nipper members and families. Andrea has also been an active patrolling member for 6 years, including roles as Patrol Captain and Vice-Captain.

 

Sarah Bannister from Noosa Sea Scouts

Sarah Bannister, affectionately known as “Tawny”, has made an extraordinary contribution to the Noosa Sea Scout Group over more than 15 years of dedicated volunteer service. Beginning as a Parent Helper in 2010, she became a respected leader, guiding Joey Scouts and later Cub Scouts with compassion, enthusiasm and unwavering dedication. Despite her demanding career as a Registered Nurse, Sarah consistently gave her time to meetings, camps and major events. Alongside her husband Ian, she fostered a strong culture of service, resilience and adventure, helping hundreds of young people build confidence, skills and lifelong values. In 2023, she received the Silver Wattle Award.

 

Kristine Blurton from Santa’s Classy Helpers

Kris is a member of the management committee and has been a committed worker on the team.  She uses her skills to run events us some of them at her own home.  Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious.  She is a team player supporting others in the running of the charity.  Kris has been a key person in looking for sponsorship and grants. This year she has spent a large amount of time working with people to ensure Santa’s Classy Helpers have storage for the goods they purchase and receive for the families.

 

Felicia Brown from Wildlife Noosa

A valued part of Wildlife Noosa, Felicia has played an important role in supporting the organisation and helping ensure its ongoing success. From assisting with administration and coordinating key activities to contributing wherever needed, her dedication and willingness to step in have been greatly appreciated. Her hard work behind the scenes, reliability and commitment to the cause have made a meaningful difference, and Wildlife Noosa is stronger because of her efforts and support.

 

Jo Brown from Teewah Turtle Trackers

Jo is the Field Lead for the Teewah Turtle Trackers, contributing over two years of dedicated volunteer service. She has completed specialist training at Mon Repos in nest relocation and marine wildlife stranding response, strengthening the program’s on-ground capability. Jo leads field operations, supports volunteers, and plays a critical role in protecting nests and responding to turtle strandings, significantly advancing conservation outcomes on the Noosa North Shore.

 

Therase Burke from Noosa FM Community Radio

Therase has volunteered at NoosaFM since 2007. For many years she has professionally delivered Friday Drive and outside broadcasts’ on-air. Providing listeners with a local weekend gig guide that promotes local music, artists, and venues. She is passionate about Australian music and brings energy to every broadcast. Her on-air delivery helped strengthen the local arts scene by giving community talent a valuable platform, she encourages people to listen & get out and support live performances.

 

Peter Chalmers from Noosa Visitor Information Centre

Peter has been a valued volunteer with Tourism Noosa for the past two years, bringing a highly successful professional background, warmth, professionalism and exceptional customer service to every visitor he meets at the Noosa Visitor Information Centre. He consistently goes above and beyond, generously supporting fellow volunteers by stepping in for extra shifts, assisting staff with updating fact sheets, and recently helping develop content for the updated Volunteer Training Handbook to support efficiency, growth and development within the Tourism Volunteer role at Noosa VIC. Peter’s dedication, reliability and positive contribution make him an incredibly valued member of the team.

 

Lorraine Christie from Noosa Women’s Shed

Lorraine has supported the Noosa Women’s Shed since its early days, leading fundraising through monthly Bunnings BBQs at Noosaville. As BBQ captain, she helps oversee each event from start to finish, raising essential funds to keep the Shed running. She is also a committed volunteer with many organisations across the Noosa shire. Lorraine is willing to put her hand up each time a call goes out for volunteering, putting Noosa Women’s Shed high on her list.

 

Joe Cirillo from Noosa Heads SLSC

Joe has been a dedicated member of Noosa SLSC for 23 years, contributing 1342 patrol hours since gaining his Bronze in 2007. He currently leads the Emergency Response Group and has held key leadership roles, including Director of Administration. Awarded 10-year service in 2016, Joe’s long-standing commitment, leadership, and service to both the Club and wider community make him highly deserving of this recognition.

 

Alexandra Clarke from Santa’s Classy Helpers

Alexandra has worked tirelessly for the past 5 years as treasurer.  She was responsible for ensuring the requirements of Qld registration as a charity organization were met.  She has also obtained the ABN and is working towards tax exempt status.  Alexandra has been an integral member of the team not just as treasurer but also in the running of events such as the Golf day.  If anyone needs help with data management, she assists team members and implements solutions. She is a great team worker.

 

Margaret Courtney from Noosa Arts Theatre

Margaret is best known as costume manager, making and adapting thousands of costumes over decades, sometimes over 100 costumes for one production (Joseph, Mama Mia, Ladies in Black, Pirates). Margaret’s other roles include production secretary, longstanding committee member, past president, and fabulous performer (recent credits Ladies in Black, Summer of the 17th Doll) and much more! She has also lovingly maintained the theatre archives and is great role model to younger actors. We need to clone her!

 

Owen Curtis from Noosa Men’s Shed

Owen is the Health & Wellbeing Member of the shed. He is also the lynchpin in the grants committee plus a keyboard player in two of the shed’s four bands. These three activities keep Owen extremely busy liaising with the club’s 246 members. It is in his capacity as the Health & Wellbeing Member that Owen makes an immense contribution to the mental and physical health of members. He was instrumental in having the shed erect a purpose-built physical activity shed hosting 6 weekly classes.

 

Claire Davidson from Teewah Turtle Trackers

Claire co-established the Teewah Turtle Trackers with Noosa Council and has led the program for two years. As Program Coordinator, she secured and manages Council funding, built and leads a team of 14 volunteers, and significantly advanced turtle monitoring on the Noosa North Shore. In 2026, the team recorded the most comprehensive monitoring data for endangered and vulnerable turtles in the area, strengthening conservation outcomes and community impact.

 

Robert Davies from Noosa Shire Museum

Robert was born and bred in the Pomona area. Robert has spent all of his later years volunteering to his community. Robert was a firefighter in Pomona from 1978 to 1988 and began volunteering at the Noosa Shire Museum (in Pomona) in 1990 and remains to do so now, with a vested interested in the maintenance of the museums two fire trucks. Robert has restored an old army jeep and drives it in ANZAC Day parades in Gympie; Imbil & Cooroy takes Diggers for a ride in the parade.

 

John Deshon from Noosa alive Festival

John is a Life Member of Noosa alive Festival and has served as Secretary for many years. A former actor himself, John’s contribution to the arts and theatre scene in Noosa is tremendous. John is a consummate professional, kind, measured and an incredible host! Noosa alive is so grateful for his generosity of time, money and spirit over the last two decades. John, you truly are a star both on and off the screen. Thank you for service to the Noosa Arts community.

 

Christopher Durie from Rotary Club of Cooroy

Chris has been a Rotarian for over 35 years, 15 with the Cooroy club where he is Executive Secretary and previously President twice. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and has been heavily involved in many Rotary initiatives and is, essentially, the logistics manager.  Current projects he is involved with include being a member of the Noosa Area Rotary for Mental Health Committee, RYDA, and developing, with QAS, a register of local defibrillators. He is very generous with his time in assisting local community groups.

 

Wendy Ellery from NoosaCare Inc. Kabara

Wendy is the heart of Kabara’s arts and crafts program, bringing creativity, patience, and genuine warmth to every session. She engages each resident with care, encouraging participation in ways that suit their abilities. By championing residents’ artwork in community exhibitions, Wendy helps them feel valued and connected. Her dedication brightens daily life and strengthens ties with the wider community.

 

Damon Faint from Peregian Beach Surf Club

Volunteering as Club Captain & Director of Life Saving, Damon is passionate about education, skills & leadership development and fostering a safe inclusive culture. Under Damon’s leadership the club patrol, nippers, & member numbers have increased significantly while maintaining a flawless record of keeping beachgoers safe. Damon has driven investment in modern lifesaving equipment including jet skis, vehicles & first aid resources. Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club acknowledges Damon’s dedication and service to the community.

 

Irene Gibbs & Robert Gibbs from Pomona Meals on Wheels

Irene is currently treasurer of Pomona and district Meals on Wheels. Her contribution to the meals on wheels and the communities of Pomona and Cooran is immeasurable. Her administrative and organisational skills are outstanding. Robert’s input on the management committee and in all aspects of the workplace kitchen, delivery & maintenance has been invaluable. Now in their early eighties they still have the energy to provide community service.

 

Fran Gibson from Tewantin Netball Club

Tewantin Netball Club thanks Fran for committing to a fifth year coaching their junior players. Fran has gained her Foundation and Development Coaching accreditation. Fran is a coach for Noosa Representative Netball and also umpires. Fran was a club committee member in 2025 and consistently volunteers for the club in other roles such as player grading. Fran has mentored junior coaches for several years and supported a player with special needs demonstrating patience, compassion and respect.

 

Wendy Goldsmith from Noosa Shire Arts and Crafts Association

Wendy is an active member of Noosa Arts and Crafts and is always willing to volunteer her time. She has been a shop co-ordinator and group leader. She helps with events and maintains donations tables. She is a prolific sewer and knitter and co-ordinates many charity knitting projects which benefit the community. She is always willing to help in any way and deserves this award for her kind and generous charity work as well as being a model member of the Association.

 

Kevin Graham from Tewantin Noosa RSL & Citizens Memorial Club Inc

Kevin has been a long-term consistent volunteer working tirelessly across various aspects of the club from setting up and running the social pool club to various board positions including holding the current position of chairman of the board.  He has been instrumental in fostering the relationship between the club and sub-branch and has devoted countless hours for the betterment of the club and members.

 

Lindsay James Hall from Noosa Coastguard

Lindsay has held the positions of Section Head, Flotilla Purser, Training & Assessments, Deputy Commander and is the current Commander.  Lindsay has contributed 6598 volunteer hours (including 1200 meetings) and has accrued 1403 Sea Hours. In his time as Commander, he was responsible for the purchase of two new boats to serve the Noosa Community.

 

Alisa Hoeben from Majestic Theatre Pomona

Ailsa has been volunteering at the Majestic Theatre Pomona for 9 years. She also does an assortment of volunteer work at other not for profits in the Noosa Shire. Ailsa is always there to help and fill in when the theatre is short of volunteers, and they appreciate her dedication to the theatre.

 

John (Jerry) Lewis from Noosa Dolphins Rugby Union FC

John has volunteered at the Noosa Dolphins Rugby club for 34 years. John played for the club since 1992 and volunteered in this capacity until his playing days finished. He then moved onto a very successful role as senior team manager, being a part of many winning premierships. A role he does in part still today. John has been part of the club senior committee and has undertaken the role of Senior President for three years and has fulfilled the role as senior club vice president and other portfolios. John is still very much involved in the Dolphins club working on development projects, working bees, game day set up and pack down, senior teams and mowing and maintaining the hallowed fields of the club.

 

Celia Maloney from Noosa Women’s Shed

Celia has been an active volunteer in the Noosa community since 1997. She joined Noosa Women’s Shed in 2018, inspired by its vision of creating a welcoming space for women to learn, connect and share experiences. As Membership and Fundraising Officer, she welcomes new members, builds community links and supports fundraising through local events.

 

Gail McBurney from Tewantin Heritage and Historical Society

Gail is a foundation member of the organization and for all 25 years she has served on the committee, currently the President. Her passion is the history of Tewantin and its pioneering families. Gail organises the annual pioneer luncheon and the heritage walks that she helped initiate with the late George Pearce. In 2001, the heritage building became a Visitor Information Centre locally known as Parkyn’s Hut – three times awarded Queensland’s best Visitor Information Centre staffed entirely by volunteers.

 

Heather McCarthy from Noosa Visitor Information Centre

Heather has been an outstanding volunteer at the Noosa Visitor Information Centre for the past 10 years, commencing in 2016. A quiet achiever, she consistently demonstrates professionalism, confidence and dedication in every task she undertakes. Heather is always willing to step in when extra support is needed, regularly attends product pitch nights, and helps keep information across the centre, current and organised. Highly respected by staff, peers and visitors alike, she is known for her excellent customer service, calm nature and reliability. Her strong commitment and positive attitude make her a valued colleague and a tremendous asset to the Noosa Visitor Information Centre.

 

Carly McGrath from Tewantin Netball Club

This is Carly’s 9th year volunteering as a coach at Tewantin Netball Club. She has gained her Foundation and Development coaching accreditation and umpires National C Badge. Carly has coordinated junior twilight season, coached school-based teams, supported junior coaches and umpires at all possible netball events. Carly has been vice president of Tewantin Netball Club committee and volunteered on the Noosa Netball Association committee. She was voted Tewantin Netball Club Person of the Year 2025.

 

Roy Meese from Waves of Kindness

Roy has been a dedicated volunteer with Waves of Kindness for over 15 years, volunteering four days a week. He is responsible for testing and tagging all donated electrical items to ensure safety, and when not doing this, he assists with sorting donations and warehouse tasks. Roy is always on his feet working hard and is highly reliable and valued by the team. His long-term commitment has made a real impact on the organisation.

 

Helen Moffit from Majestic Theatre Pomona

Helen joined the Majestic in 2017. She volunteered for 3 years and took a break to attend university, returning as a volunteer in 2023. Helen’s role at the Majestic has grown over the last three years. Her primary role is “Volunteer Coordinator” as well as purchasing and helping at events. Helen also does volunteer work at other organizations including the Australasian Country Music Assn Inc and is their resident drummer. Majestic Theatre value her work and are glad she can be recognized for her efforts.

 

Christine Myers from Noosa Council (Noosa Libraries)

Christine has put in a huge number of hours and effort over the last 9 years in helping to document Noosa’s history during her time as a volunteer with the Heritage Library. She has gained considerable knowledge of Noosa’s local history and turns her hand to any of the tasks, large and small, with good humour, patience and persistence and is a tremendous support to the heritage library staff.  Christine is a true quiet achiever and a highly valued Noosa Libraries’ volunteer.

 

Shane Nelson from NOOSA DISTRICT BASKETBALL ASSOC INC

Shane has been part of Noosa Cyclones filling in many roles from referee, referee educator and President. As President he helped strengthen the position of the club’s identity within the community, leading various projects and events that built connections with existing and ex-members.  Membership grew under his leadership, and he also helped lay the foundations for where the club is now!

 

Lindsay Nowoselsky from Noosa Arts and Crafts Association

Lindsay has been an exceptional member of NACA’s pottery group. Within a year of joining, she was conducting workshops and soon became a Group Leader. She introduced reforms such as safety procedures and procedure manuals, which have contributed to a cleaner, well-organised studio that can ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and repaired whenever needed. Lindsay continues to be a valuable member, and the association feel she deserves recognition for her tireless efforts.

 

Debbie Noyek from Noosa FM Community Radio

Debbie has volunteered with Noosa FM for more than 26 years, combining passion and professionalism as a radio host and producer. Her weekly Sunday program, Irish Coffee is hugely popular playing Irish music and connecting listeners well beyond. Debbie creates promos and stingers for Noosa FM and its community subscriber service, supporting not-for-profit groups & charities. She volunteers at seven organisations, including The Noosa Arts Theatre, hospital, and recording for Australian blind people radio service.

 

Paul O’Hare from Noosa & District Landcare Group

Paul is a founding and life member of Noosa and District Landcare Group having served on the Management Committee since its inception in 1991. Paul holds an Honours degree in Agricultural Science and has over 40 years’ experience working as a horticulturist in the Macadamia industry in the Noosa district. Paul has dedicated his life to conserving Noosa’s precious natural landscape having volunteered his time for over 25 years to the cause. He is the original eco-warrior!

 

Julie Osborne from Wildlife Noosa

Coming on board as a vital part of Wildlife Noosa, Julie has become one of the true backbones of the organisation. Supporting the directors through significant administration, coordinating Bunnings BBQs, and helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, her dedication, reliability and hard work have been invaluable. Much of what happens behind the scenes relies on her efforts, and Wildlife Noosa would simply not be able to operate as effectively without her commitment and support.

 

Lisa Pegg from NOOSA DISTRICT BASKETBALL ASSOC INC

Lisa has been an advocate for female participation, helping coordinate Noosa Cyclone’s girl’s fixtures as well as coaching teams. She has also spent a lot of time guiding the Noosa Hoopers program, a hugely popular development program for under 8 players starting out on their basketball journey! Lisa has literally set the foundation for basketball participation in the Noosa district!

 

Michael (Roxy) Phelan from Noosa Dolphins Rugby Union FC

Michael has volunteered at the dolphins for nearly 40 years. He has played, coached, managed and actively served on many committees during this time. Michael has mentored many junior and senior players and taken a personal interest in their welfare. Over the years Michael as organised working bees and functions relating to helping not only the Dolphins rugby club, but also to the benefit of the broader community and related clubs.

 

Judy Pratt from The Hub Food Outlet & Op Shop

Judy has been serving with unwavering commitment for more than nine years. She is someone The Hub can always rely on, and her contribution reaches into every corner of what they do. With an incredible depth of knowledge about the store, Judy is a go-to person. Judy’s service extends beyond the store. On Food bank runs, Judy is also a true “chef supreme,” she delights the team with her homemade treats bringing joy and a sense of care to everyone around her. Judy is deeply valued and dearly loved by all at the Hub.

 

Lorraine Prescott from Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club

Lorraine has been a long-term volunteer not just on the bank at the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club’s Sailability Program but also as an enthusiastic member of the club’s volunteer fund raising team for Sailability.

 

Susan Punshon from Tewantin Noosa QCWA

Susan is a valued leader of the Tewantin Noosa branch. She is hardworking and is always available to happily assist and support in any way with QCWA interests. She has held positions within the branch as treasurer and international officer.

 

James Rennie from Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club

James has volunteered for Sailability for 4 years and recognising the significant cost of running this program took it on himself to start a fundraising program by way of a personal contribution and by lobbying local business and club members for donations to support a weekly raffle which has proven very popular with club members and has effectively funded additional equipment requirements and substantially covered the cost of running the weekly Sailabilty program.

 

Denise Richards from Cooroy Pomona Lions Club

Denise has been a dedicated member of the Cooroy Pomona Lions Club for almost six years, generously contributing her time, energy, and creativity to countless community projects and club activities. As the Club’s Lion Tamer, Denise plays an important role in preparing meetings and fostering the fellowship that brings Lions members together. Her commitment to service extends well beyond Lions through her volunteer work with The Salvation Army, where she previously served as a Salvation Army Soldier, and through her involvement with Girl Guides Australia. Denise’s unwavering dedication to helping others makes her a shining example of community service and the true spirit of volunteering.

 

Paula Rivers from The Hub Food Outlet & Op Shop

Paula is an absolute powerhouse resident pocket rocket. A true bubble of energy whose presence lifts everyone around her. Her joyful spirit and her beautiful infectious laugh can be heard wherever she goes. Paula is the heart & soul of the fruit and veggie department; she takes the lead with confidence and care. Her organisation, dedication, and strong work ethic mean that without her, The Hub would quite simply be lost. She creates a welcoming environment where people feel valued and seen.

 

Michael Frederick Rose from Coastguard Noosa

Michael has held the positions as Section Head, Operations Manager and Deputy Commander. He has been responsible to create and edit the flotilla’s ships management systems and ship operation procedures. He has also been interviewing all new potential members and for making the nuts and bolts of normal flotilla operations. Mike is also a trainer and assessor. Mike has contributed 5686 volunteer hours and 963 sea hours.

 

Janice Rowlinson from Sunshine Butterflies

Jan has been committed to Sunshine Butterflies since 2024 in the Kiss My Art program with members. Jan brings passion & life experience that assists with supervision, encouragement & guidance. Art projects require thought, concentration, eye hand coordination and patience, which Jan humbly provides to each individual. Jan is a positive role model to all, and Sunshine Butterflies feel extremely lucky to have her. Her contribution makes a big difference and in return Jan is greatly respected and loved by everyone.

 

Jo Shepherd from Cooroy Pomona Lions Club

Joanne has been a dedicated member of the Cooroy Pomona Lions Club for more than 12 years and currently serves as the Club’s Secretary. Throughout her years of service, Joanne has generously given her time, energy, and skills to countless Lions projects, community events, and club activities, always with a focus on helping others. Her commitment to service extends beyond Lions through her volunteer work with Sunshine Butterflies, where she helps support, people living with disability. Joanne’s compassion, reliability, and quiet dedication have made a lasting difference to many lives and exemplify the true spirit of community service.

 

Rod Solomons from Business Mentors Noosa

Rod has been a voluntary business mentor for more than ten years. He has been president on two occasions, and his enthusiasm and fine leadership has ensured that Business Mentors Noosa has established itself as the premier business mentoring organisation on The Sunshine Coast.

 

Ian Strong from Noosa Sea Scouts

Ian has been a quiet achiever and steadfast pillar of the Noosa Sea Scout Group for almost two decades. Since joining as a volunteer parent helper 19 years ago, he has dedicated extraordinary time, expertise and energy to the group’s success. As Group Treasurer since 2010, Ian has provided diligent financial oversight and stability. Beyond administration, he has played a key role in maintaining and developing the group’s campground and delivering major infrastructure projects. Alongside his wife Debbie, he has also contributed countless hours to fundraising and community activities. His reliability, humility and commitment have left a lasting impact on scouting and the wider community.

 

John Spence Thomas from Business Mentors Noosa

John richly deserves this award for being a voluntary business mentor for more than twelve years. He has helped countless small and medium size businesses navigate the intricacies of running a business and making a success of it. John was one of the early members of Business Mentors Noosa and spent many years on the Committee making the organisation the success it has become today.

 

Diana Thomson from Noosa Arts Theatre

You won’t often see Diana Thomson on stage. She’s not seeking the spotlight but operating it. Roles include box office coordinator, membership secretary, website manager, tech manager, writer, director and musical director. When you’re in the audience, look behind to the ‘bio box’, to catch a glimpse of her in her element. Recent musical director credits include Ladies in Black and ‘Joseph’, currently rehearsing Charlie Brown, while also training new techies in the box. The show could not go on without Di.

 

Emma Tomlinson from The Lavender Sky Foundation

Emma has made a significant contribution to autism advocacy, inclusion and community leadership across Queensland through her volunteer and ambassadorial work with Autism Queensland, Aspect Australia and the Lavender Sky Foundation. Through national awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives and sharing her lived experience as an autistic woman, Emma has helped educate, inspire and create more inclusive opportunities for neurodivergent individuals and families.

 

Rossella Van Vugt from Story Dogs

Rossella joined Story Dogs in 2020.  She has been visiting Sunshine Beach State School every week with her gorgeous rescue greyhound “Riki’ supporting Year 2 students with their reading practice. The students read to ‘Riki’. Rossella and ‘Riki’ provide fun individual reading session for 4-5 students every week. Since joining Story Dogs, Rossella has supported more than 25 students with reading.

 

 

Dr Kim Walker-Barnes from Noosa & District Landcare Group

Kim is the current President of Noosa and District Landcare Group and long-standing member. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Environmental Education at the University of Sunshine Coast having established the K’gari Research Archive and the K’gari-Fraser Island Mobile App. Kim has been an active member of Noosa Landcare for well over a decade and has volunteered her time tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. Her contribution is invaluable.

 

Sharyl Walsh from Story Dogs

Sharyl joined Story Dogs in 2019.  She has been visiting Sunshine Beach State School every week with her gorgeous dogs to support Year 2 students with their reading practice.  The students read to the dog. Sharyl visits the school twice a week and alternate her 3 qualified Story Dogs for reading practice. Sharyl, ‘Taj’, ‘Charlotte’ and ‘Indya’ provide fun individual reading session for 8 students every week. Since joining Story Dogs, Sharyl has supported more than 50 students with reading.

 

Jenny West from Noosa alive! Festival

Jenny, now 84 years young, has been a dedicated member of Noosa alive! Festival since its inception in 2002. She was instrumental in setting up the Friends program and has served on the Management Committee and other volunteer roles for over 20 years. Her incredible contributions over the last two decades have been recognized by being made a Life Member & she remains a Patron. Jenny has donated considerable funds, time and energy to support the arts and culture in Noosa. A worthy recipient!

 

Veronica Whitter from Tewantin Noosa Lions Club Inc

Veronica contributes her expertise and wisdom as a Board Member and also volunteers selflessly for many projects. Key examples include substantial time submitting Grants; enthusiastically and successfully recruiting new members; committee member for the Australia Day Festival; substantially increasing the Clubs profile in social media and press; being well known as the “Rubbish Queen” for Santa’s Classy Helpers Xmas event and always being kind, enthusiastic, empathetic and supportive of all.
