In response to questions regarding current vs historic figures for Cooloola, including both Vehicle Permits and Camping Numbers, we have been provided the following. These figures indicate a decrease of visitors in 2020 when compared to previous years. This could be due to lockdowns and limited availability of COVID passes. Once those restrictions were lifted, there was a clear increase in Vehicle Access Permits (VAPs) in 2021. With still 3 months remaining of the calculable year, it is expected the figure as of June 30 will be similar to those in 2021.

With an upcoming meeting regarding North Shore/Cooloola and the Teewah Cooloola Working Group, as well as actions from the recent survey, we will update to 360 once received.
